A New Blog Site Launched to Monitor Turkish Airlines
"The purpose of this blog is not to discourage people from flying Turkish Airlines, which is a fine company"

A new blog site called DontFlyTurkish.com claims that it will help improve Turkish Airlines' services with its constructive live criticsm. The first blog entry reads: "I registered this Blog (Website) domain name roughly four years ago, on March 1, 2004, at New York's JFK airport, while I was trying to purchase round trip tickets from New York to Istanbul.

At the time, as I recall, there was a politically appointed CEO at Turkish Airlines, a complete brain dead idiot, and his politically appointed staff on Turkish Airlines offices around the world. On that day, the easily offended transvestite THY ticket agent called the Terminal 1 security to ask me leave the airport building, which prompted me to start this blog.

Four years later there is another politically appointed CEO at Turkish Airlines, so far who does not seem to be as incompetent as his predecessor. The ruling party and the government in Turkey is also the same team as it was four years ago.Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yollari) operates its Turkish language Website on www.THY.com and its English language Website on www.FlyTurkish.com, which brings us to the name of this blog.

The purpose of this blog is not to discourage people from flying Turkish Airlines, which is a fine company which generally provides fine service, but rather share constructive criticism with the airline and give them a chance to improve their services in a very competitive global industry they operate.I will be posting my entries live, on the road from my blackberry and as it happens, as I am either flying Turkish Airlines, or doing business with the company. So as you receive new blog entry email alerts, I will probably be still at the scene of my latest blog post.

To get the best usage out of this blog, I recommend you to subscribe to instant email notification alerts of this blog, especially if you are working for THY.You have the option of remaining anonymous as always. We highly recommend the THY public relations personnel to subscribe to the newsletters, since the primary target of our topics will be the THY management.See you on the road, at the next Turkish Airlines flight!"
